Senior Consultant – Life Insurance

This position offers you, an innovative thinker with extensive insurance experience, the opportunity to deliver solutions and take ownership of projects in a fast-paced work environment. You will play a key role in building trusted client relationships through high quality deliverables and leveraging our industry expertise. You will bring your expertise and knowledge in the life insurance industry to support the business development activities in our growing insurance practice. Furthermore, you are excited by the idea of joining an established global company at one of its newest locations, and a being part of a rapid growing platform supporting the insurance sector.
  • Play a vital role in further building up Synpulse USA’s insurance practice around eco systems, digital transformation, and operational excellence topics
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with clients to define future state visions and prioritization of opportunity areas that deliver value across people, process, data & technology (operating model & architecture)
  • Perform gap analysis between future state versus current state and support the client planning and developing business cases, project roadmaps and governance structures for execution
  • Independently drive the success of a project by directing activities, ensuring high quality deliverables and timely submission
  • Manage smaller teams of consultants by defining meaningful work packages, managing activities, and through mentorship
  • Develop deep client relationships at all levels of organizations and act as a trusted advisor
  • Develop thought leadership in the digital transformation and operational excellence space by publishing articles and participating in industry events and panel discussions
  • 3 to 6 years of life insurance experience at a management or IT consulting firm or as operations manager, project manager or senior business analyst within an insurance company (carrier or agent)
  • Experience in Strategic Technology Advisory, definition of Operating Models, Project Management, Change Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Data Analytics & Visualization, Enterprise/Business Architecture or Accelerated Underwriting is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or undergraduate equivalent from an accredited college/university is required; Master’s or MBA degree is preferred
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and achievement-oriented; driven to consistently delivering high level quality service
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills with an emphasis on client service and presentation
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Solid analytical and quantitative skills; able to quickly understand complex situations
  • Traveling to client sites up to 70% of the time
