Senior Consultant – Insurance

You will take ownership of projects and play a key role in building trusted client relationships through high quality deliverables and leveraging our industry expertise. Responsibilities: 
  • Play a vital role in further building up Synpulse USA’s insurance practice around digital transformation and operational excellence topics through contributions of managing talented, oversight of delivery work, and thought leadership
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with clients to assess pain points, define visions of future states and prioritize opportunity areas that deliver value across people, process, data & technology
  • Perform gap analysis between future state versus current state and support the client in planning and developing business cases, project roadmaps and governance structures for execution
  • Independently drive the success of a project by directing activities, ensuring high quality deliverables and timely submission
  • Manage a team of consultants by organizing workstreams, defining work packages and mentoring younger team members
  • Develop deep client relationships at all levels of organizations and act as a trusted advisor
  • Develop thought leadership in the digital transformation and operational excellence spaces through publishing articles, participating in industry events and panel discussions
 
Requirements:  
  • 3 to 6 years experience in insurance (P&C, Specialty, Life, Commercial Insurance or Reinsurance) at a management consulting firm, or in a corporate strategy, enterprise architecture, business development, or management function within an insurance company
  • Experience in Strategic Technology Advisory, definition of Operating Models, Project Management, Change Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Data Analytics & Visualization, Enterprise/Business Architecture, Business Outsourcing or Post Merger & Acquisitions is a plus
  • MBA/Masters with a relevant concentration preferred. Undergraduate degree with a relevant concentration required
  • Strong IT affinity; experience with enterprise technology platforms and solutions is required
  • Knowledge of industry best practices regarding digitalization and automation of insurance services
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills with an emphasis on client service and presentation
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to quickly understand complex situations
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and achievement-oriented; driven to consistently delivering high level quality service
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% of the time
